Coffee lover? Let's roll at Tuğba

February 12, 2018

I am a coffee & cappuccino lover, so wherever I go, I'm trying to find the best places that serve quality coffee. When I was a baby in my mom's belly, she used to love the smell of coffee & caramel....uhm & that of coffee liquor. I must have been a merely 4 years old monkey, when I climbed the furniture on my parent's flat just to have a quick sniff of a special caramel & coffee drink that my mother was making on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, I discovered my heart rushes a little if I drink too much coffee, so in most days I just have one for the sake of smelling it. Not in Turkey though...in Turkey I really have to drink it. They have a beautiful coffee culture, with plenty of flavors, so the best coffee places I have ever encountered were in this country. I'm  therefore elaborating on a series of writings dedicated to this specialty ;)

Well, I also like chocolates, especially if they come filled with almonds..

This post comes with a tip: if you are in Denizli..you can go 2 minutes down the boulevard on Gazi Mustafa Kemal..( which will reward you with maaaany shopping places, especially for velvet Turkish pants & crazy backpacks & bags)..

and find Tuğba, a great coffee shop, where everything is packed so nicely ( especially the pistachio & pomegrante turkish lokum), and they also have tea of roses,  lavender & thyme! and fresh coffee of course...which...if you are a tourist...you will get it for free ;)

Yes you heard  that right, let me repeat it in short: FREE COFFEE at Tuğba! Go there if you feel like an empty-pocket tourist, pretend to look around, and they will come and treat you well. I wish we had that in the West :(. You can find Tuğba  pretty much in all cities of Turkey, including Izmir.

Mirvari Kahvesi & Damla Kahvesi are the best two types of coffee at Tuqba! ( damla is similar to a candy flavored coffee, is my favorite actually).

  Enjoy!!
